I like historical romance novels, but I want to branch out into more epic-adventure/fantasy novels with a strong romance part. Does anyone have any recommendations? I enjoy the show the legend of the seeker, and Star Wars, and Stardust. If that’s helpful to define what I’m talking about… I’m pretty open tho.

May I recommend:

Alias Hook by Lisa Jensen (a retelling of Peter Pan told through the POV of Captain Hook. Spoiler alert: Hook is the good guy in this one).

An adult fairytale version of Neverland? (Read: a story worthy of Jason Isaacs’s Hook?) Smashing that purchase button!

Meet Captain James Benjamin Hook, a witty, educated Restoration-era privateer cursed to play villain to a pack of malicious little boys in a pointless war that never ends. But everything changes when Stella Parrish, a forbidden grown woman, dreams her way to the Neverland in defiance of Pan’s rules.

With Stella’s knowledge of folk and fairy tales, she might be Hook’s last chance for redemption…

I highly recommend the Sharing Knife series by Lois McMaster Bujold. It’s very romantic and has great fantasy worldbuilding.

Here’s the review I wrote 7 YEARS AGO GOD HOW LONG HAVE I BEEN ON THIS HELLSITE.
