Currently Reading: Given to the Earth by @mindymcginnis ! I received this book as an advanced reader’s copy from the author herself on a library visit back in August! I decided since it’s almost February and it comes out in April, I would push it to the top of my stack! I loved Given to the Sea, and when I told Mindy, she personally presented me with a copy of this book! I’m so excited! I just started it and I’m already in love! Yay for sequel anxiety being relieved! Look out for the published copy of this in April, guys! I’ll let you know how it is! What are you guys currently reading this week?

Currently Reading: All the Crooked Saints by Maggie Stiefvater! I just finished Hit last night (thank the universe), and this has a week before it goes back. I just started it, and it hasn’t completely won me over, but I’m definitely intrigued. Saints! Magic! Family! Beautiful prose! Mysteries! I’m really excited to see where the rest of this book leads. Besides, if Maggie has her name on it, I’m gonna read it. Plus, look at that mysterious, beautiful cover! What are you guys currently reading this week?

(Not my photo! Only using for cover purposes.) Currently Reading: The Love Interest by @caledietrich! I just finished All We Have Left by Wendy Mills last night for my book club on Thursday, and it’s easily one of the most beautiful, powerful books I’ve ever read. I loved that it gave such perspective about 9/11, but I definitely didn’t enjoy the slut-shaming. It really made me mad, actually. Nonetheless, it was a great book, one of my favorite book club books so far this year. Now, on down the library stack, I go! I’ve been looking forward to this book. I started reading it last night in the bathtub, and I’m sold. Plus, a debut novel from an Aussie? I’m all for this. Plus, spies! Love triangles! Sexual tension! Danger! An unreliable narrator! Shout out to my local library for getting it to me. What are you guys currently reading this week?

Currently Reading: Shimmer and Burn by Mary Taranta! (Not my photo, just using for cover purposes.) I just finished The Rattled Bones by S.M. Parker last night, and to say that I have mixed feelings is a major understatement. Now on down the library stack, I go! I’m really excited for this book. First of all, the cover is absolutely gorgeous, and I loved the premise. A magical kingdom drained of its resources, with a down on her luck heroine having to smuggle the stolen magic inside? Sold, sold, and sold again! I’m really hoping that this book is as wonderful as it seems. I just started it, so I’m not really sure how I feel about it yet. Currently Reading: The Rattled Bones by S.M. Parker! I finished Wonder Woman: Warbringer on Sunday, and after a mini reading slump, sorting through my library books, I started reading this. I’m gonna be honest; I’m almost done with it and I have mixed feelings about it, to say the least. I love the setting and the spooky, spine-tingling prose. Plus, I’m always on board with ghosts. But I do not like at all the way mental illness is portrayed in this book; it’s offensive and rude. Nonetheless, I’m going to stick with it, because I’m almost done. What are you guys currently reading this week?

Currently Reading: Wonder Woman: Warbringer by @lbardugo I’ve had this reserved at the library for over a year now; since I’ve known of its existence, really. I’m so excited! I finished Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia on Thursday, and I’ve been working on this ever since. I’m little more a hundred pages in, and I’m in love with it. A brand new, feminist, badass take on one of my favorite DC heroines? Yes, yes, please, I am all for this, and I can’t wait for more in this brand new, promising series! What are you guys currently reading this weekend?
