Currently Reading: Flame in the Mist by Renee Ahdieh! I finished Everyone We’ve Been on Thursday for one of my book clubs, and I’ve been working on this book ever since. I’ve been trying to dedicate time during my weekends to get some reading in since I’ve been so busy working during the week. I’m about one hundred pages in, and I’m really enjoying it! It’s like Mulan but set in feudal Japan, with lots of complex, flawed characters! It makes me glad that I have The Wrath and the Dawn on my shelf. Have you guys read any of her work? If so, what did you think? What are you guys currently reading this weekend?

Currently Reading: Definitions of Indefinable Things by Whitney Taylor! I just finished Ptolemy’s Gate by @jonathanstroud, and I really enjoyed it! It was action packed, beautifully written, and sad! What a series closer! Now on down the library stack for me. This book was our book club pick for July, and honestly, I’m not loving it so far. The plot is so weird and convoluted, but I will finish it for Thursday! What are you guys currently reading this week?

Currently Reading: Spindle Fire by Lexa Hillyer! I just finished…

Currently Reading: Spindle Fire by Lexa Hillyer! I just finished Our Dark Duet by @veschwab and I’m dead. Dead. That book was killer. As I’ve said, haven’t I had enough literary pain this week people?! Come on. All the ugly crying and screaming! Now on down the library stack for me! I’ve been so excited for Spindle Fire. I’m a total sucker for fairy tale retellings, and Sleeping Beauty is one of my favorites! I’m about a third of the way through this, and I love the lush, gorgeous prose, as well as the sisters, Isbe and Aurora! Have you guys read any of Lexa Hillyer’s work? If so, what did you think? What are you guys currently reading this week?
